2023 Asia Beer Championship
We're thrilled to announce that Hong Kong Beer Co received awards for 5 of our craft beers at the Asia Beer Championship 2023 in the following four style categories: 14. American Pale Ale (x2), 16. American IPA, 17. Hazy/New England Style IPA, and 18. Double IPA.
These are among the most popular craft beer styles in the Asian marketplace, all characterized as hop-forward with medium to very high hop flavours and aromas.
To achieve such broad-scale recognition in these particular, ultra-competitive categories feels especially satisfying and is a testament to our brewery's philosophy of using the finest hops and other ingredients, using significant quantities of hops, brewing small batches for timely consumption, and preserving the resultant magnificent citrus, tropical fruit and stone fruit hop flavours and aromas through immediate cold storage and local next day transportation.

The Asia Beer Championship is an annual competition open for entry to any Asian Brewery (defined as a brewery with production facilities and producing beer for commercial purposes in Asia). Producers can enter any of 31 different beer style categories and receive independent expert feedback from qualified beer judges according to the guidelines set by the Asia Beer Championship Beer Style Guidelines 2023.
This year's Asia Beer Championship was “blind” judged in Singapore on 30-Sept and 1-Oct. Results were announced at Brew Asia 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on 20-Oct. The top 3 beers in each category were awarded gold, silver and bronze medals and other finalist beers that achieved pre-determined quality levels received a Chairman's selection award.
