🥉Somethin' Pumpkin - Pumpkin Ale
Held in October in Tokyo, this year's International Beer Cup was judged by 69 certified beer judges from 17 countries. There were over 1,100 beer entries (40% from overseas) from 268 breweries in 16 countries, including Australia, China, Colombia, Denmark, Spain, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Netherlands, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, United States, Vietnam, and host-country Japan.
Beers were judged in a blind tasting by their appearance, aroma, and flavour per the competition's published Beer Style Guidelines. Only beers assessed as world’s best (gold), outstanding (silver), or excellent (bronze) received medals, with only one gold, silver, or bronze medal up for grabs per beer style.
