2023 IBC - Category Champion
Cheers to Hong Kong Beer! Our city's iconic ale received a Gold Medal in the coveted Style 95: American-Style Pale Ale on 1st October at the prestigious International Beer Cup (IBC) 2023. In addition, Hong Kong Beer was awarded the Category Champion from all other gold medalists in the American Heritage category. According to the IBC's Beer Style Guideline, judges evaluated 19 Styles of North American Origin (Style numbers 52-55 and 94-108), ranging from American-Style Lagers and IPAs to Hazy Pale Ales and Stouts. Hong Kong Beer achieved the honour of Category Champion, facing global competition from other category medalists from China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Panama, Taiwan, and the United States.
